Rocket Dog: California Meets Cornwall – A Brand Takeover

To celebrate Rocket Dog’s Californian heritage and strengthen its UK positioning, ALTER designed and delivered a unique California-Meets-Cornwall brand takeover experience.
The activation united two iconic coastlines, bringing the Rocket Dog spirit to life against the stunning Cornish backdrop. Our objective was to showcase the brand’s laid-back, adventurous energy while driving authentic social content and meaningful reach.
We partnered with an incredible group of creators – the #RDSquad: @laraadkins, @mia.dson, @chxarl, and @abbyrebeccawalker – who documented their journey across surf, music, food, and coastal living.
Highlights of the takeover included:
Catching waves with Surf Sistas
Dancing at Tunes in the Dunes festival
Private, coastal-inspired dining with The Barn Coastal Valley
To amplify the experience, we collaborated with lifestyle gifting partners including Drink Highwater, Shandy Shack, Hello Yummy Box, Dock & Bay, and Micro Scooters – each adding a touch of discovery and delight to the event.

The activation was further extended with a giveaway campaign, offering consumers the chance to win a Rocket Dog Micro Scooter and a pair of Rocket Dog shoes. This not only built excitement around the takeover but also created a clear call-to-action for Rocket Dog’s digital community.
Through this immersive experience, Rocket Dog successfully translated its Californian roots into a UK setting, leaving a lasting impression on creators, consumers, and communities alike.
